Our Services

Leaking Shower Repair

Cracked, pitted and porous sand-based grout or mouldy separated silicone are common causes of a leaking shower. Other areas that can contribute to a shower leak is a deteriorated shower screen and or plumbing.

Through these areas water can pass beneath the surface of the tiles and be absorbed by the surrounding walls, skirting boards and flooring. Visible signs can include swollen skirting boards, bubbling paint work, damp carpets, rusty door frames and damaged cupboards. These are all tell tail signs that you have a leaking shower. Here at AllSealedWA we offer obligation free quotes and electronic water detection tests. After diagnosing the cause, we meticulously explain the repair method and provide a formal written quote.

Leaking Balcony Repair

Many contributing factors can lead to a leaking balcony. External elements like UV and rain together with separated main perimeter joints, cracked, pitted and porous sand-based grout or separated silicone can all allow water to pass beneath the surface of the tiles. Other areas that can contribute from is the incorrect application of a waterproof membrane or significant building movement. Once the water passes beneath the surface of the tiles it causes the visible damage to the adjoining areas and ceiling below your leaking balcony area. Visible signs of a leaking balcony or external area can include swollen skirting boards, bubbling paint work, damp carpet, rusty door frames and damage to the ceilings and cornices below. These visible signs can otherwise be known as ‘rising damp’. A leaking balcony should not be left untreated for a long period of time as this can cause costly structural damage in the long run.

Grout Replacement

Over time existing sand based grouts become old, they oxidise, change colour and get so dirty that it is hard to clean or keep clean. Before you think renovation is the only way to fix this, why not consider a tile regrout. Regrouting the area is a very cost effective solution that can rejuvenate and restore your tiling back to its original standard. If left untreated for a long period this can potentially cause costly leaks and damage to surrounding areas, not to mention all the nasties that can reside in the grout.

Silicone Replacement

In some instances, traditional sand based grouts or epoxy grout cannot be used. A high grade silicone is required. Contributing factors to this decision are the surface type: Acrylic baths, shower trays, timber and laminates. Location and building construction can also play a part.

These areas require a product which is not so rigid. A product which allows flexibility with movement between different materials. Our AllFlex (high grade silicone) is the product for this!

Silicone joints which are left to tether, come away, go mouldy or allow water to pass beneath can contribute to the classic signs of rising damp. Swollen skirting boards or vanity cupboards, bubbling paint or wet carpets. Like regular servicing of your vehicle, regular cleaning and maintenance of these such areas can minimise any damage and associated costs.
